Ms. Scott was born in Mishawaka, Indiana. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Economics from James Madison College at Michigan State University and her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Michigan. At the University of Michigan, Ms. Scott was a contributing editor on the Journal of Law Reform, participated in the Family Law Project as a student attorney, and worked as a research assistant for Professor Larry Cohen.

Ms. Scott concentrates her practice in the defense of workers’ compensation matters. During her practice in workers’ compensation, Ms. Scott has defended insured, self-insured, and risk pool members. With 15 years of litigation experience, Ms. Scott has extensive trial experience before the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission. She has presented prepared numerous legal briefs for appealing Workers’ Compensation cases and presented oral arguments at all levels of review, including the Circuit Court and the Illinois Appellate Court.

Ms. Scott has been admitted to practice law in the State of Illinois and before the United States District Court in the Northern District of Illinois since 1999.
